Step 5 of 7: Build
DEF: To make something by putting parts together.

The fifth step to becoming
a leader in God’s Kingdom
is to build something that lasts.
In The Song Of The Vineyard,
after the farmer establishes his vineyard,
he builds a watchtower in the middle of it.
Something noteworthy is that the watchtower
is built with the same stones
previously removed from the land.
Therefore, each stone represents
a different lesson learned.
Leaders who take time to consider
mistakes made and hardships overcome
find themselves built up
in the strength and stability of wisdom.
Like a strong watchtower,
leaders who celebrate and share their
lessons learned carry a strong sense of peace,
safety, and perspective wherever they go.
And, because a strong watchtower
is built to hold more than one person,
leaders recognize their responsibility
to tell others what they have learned.
Every leader must
be continually building their watchtower
by learning from their experiences,
and pouring into others.

I have a friend who isn’t Christian. They’re very close to me, make me smile when I’m sad, and always give me a hug when I ask. They deserve to know who God is and how much he loves them. Please pray that I will succeed in bringing God to their attention, in a meaningful way that they won’t be able to deny. And please pray that I can continue to be a good example, not only to them, but for other young people in my life who look up to me.
