1 John 2:16-17
All that belongs to this world—
the allure of pleasure,
the passion for things,
the desire to be important—
these are not from the Father,
but are from this world.
And this world and its cravings
are passing away.
But anyone who does God’s will
remains forever.
COMMENTARY
“It is no small comfort to saints
that this world
is the worst place
they shall ever be.”
