Deuteronomy 7:16-20
You must destroy all the nations
the Lord puts in your power.
Be merciless; don’t worship their gods,
for their behavior is a deadly trap.
Perhaps you’re thinking,
“These nations are too powerful,
how can we ever conquer them?”
Don’t be afraid of them!
Remember what God did to Egypt.
Remember the great terrors
God sent against them.
Remember in detail
the signs and wonders he used
to bring you out of bondage.
He is the Lord your God,
and he will do the same things
to all the nations you fear right now.
And then he will send
swarms of terror to finish off
any who might escape your power!
