Pour Over Me

Psalm 42:8-11
All day long
God’s promises of love pour over me.
Through the night I sing his songs,
for my prayer to God
has become my life.
I say to God,
“You are my mountain of strength;
how could you forget me?
Why must I wander around in grief,
oppressed by my enemies?
Their taunts break my bones.”
“Where’s this God of yours?” they scoff.
So I say to my soul,
“Don’t be discouraged.
Don’t be disturbed.
Despite my emotions,
I will believe and praise
the one who saves me, my God.”
