I’m excited to see your card about this song. Everything about it is beautiful and references to various Bible stories. I love how there’s a portion of the song that switches from the meaning of “my blood” reflecting the bond of brother/blood brother with a love and loyalty simply being a reflection of God’s love to INSTANTLY, it’s the transition to Jesus himself speaking a cover over us directly when addressing us as “My blood, I’ll go with you. Stay with me.” 🥹
He’s already covered us. He’s found us worthy and paid for us with His blood. He’s devoted to be by our side always- we don’t need to run.
