Don’t forget
to show hospitality to strangers,
for some who have done this
have entertained angels
without realizing it!

The Sevenapples Study

1.  What stands out to you from this verse?

2.  What does it say about who God is?

3.  What does it say about who you are?

4.  What’s God’s desire for you?

One Response

  1. The question that comes to mind immediately is ‘have we practiced enough hospitality to strangers to know that some of these folks may have been angels?’ And so what would it take for us to say yes to this question…because practicing hospitality to only our friends and family does not yield a yes to this question…and we want to live with the hope that we’ve encountered many angels in our travels without ever knowing it.

God, we pray for sojourners to cross our paths so that we may practice hospitality. We pray that you would give use a heart and mind of service and blessing to them so that we would expect nothing in return. And if you want to send an angel or two our way, we pray that we would treat them the same way we would any other stranger. Amen
