The Lord is good
to those who wait for him,
to the soul who seeks him.
So it is good to wait in silence
for the Lord to make things right again.
And it is good to have to deal
with restraint and burdens when young.

Why Does Tyler Cover His Face?
As I searched for the right
Scripture for this picture,
I noticed a detail from a familiar story
that I had never caught before.
When Moses is looking for God
on the mountaintop,
he finally recognizes him
in the still, small voice.
Then, before going out to meet God,
he has to wrap his face in a cloak.
And this action makes me think
of how Tyler (in Guns For Hands)
wraps his face in duct tape.
Why?
Because God is too glorious
to lay eyes on.
Therefore, before he speaks
personally with God,
he has to cover his face.
