EXCERPT FROM SERMON
Let me tell you the thing
that made me fall in love
with my wife.
It wasn’t that she knew
all the good stuff about me
and wanted to be with me.
It was that she knew
all the bad stuff about me
and wanted to be with me.
And what I love about Jesus,
is that he knows us
even better than that!
He knows everything about us;
every instance of our lying,
cheating, jealousy, lust, and pride.
He knows exactly who we are
behind closed doors.
And He still loves us.
He still wants to be with us.
He still adores us and blesses us.
He would still choose to die for us
today.
In my humble opinion,
that eternal truth
should never stop filling us
with songs of joy.
