Acts 2:42-47
All the believers
devoted themselves to learning
what the apostles taught,
to gathering for fellowship,
to breaking bread,
and to praying.
Holy awe swept through every soul,
and the apostles performed
many miraculous signs and wonders.
There was an intense sense
of togetherness among them
and they shared all
their possessions;
they sold what they did not need
in order to help those with needs.
They devoted themselves
to worshipping together
in the Temple,
breaking bread in homes,
and sharing their meals in joy.
They praised the Lord
and enjoyed the favor
of all the people.
And each day
the Lord added to their number
those who were being saved.
